Blizzardstar ✬ Tom ✬ Summitclan "What is the point in being a King if you don't understand those who follow you?" Graycloud ☁ She-Cat ☁ Summitclan "There may be fifty shades of gray, but that doesn't mean you stop searching for the white in everything"
"....Graycloud! Come have some lunch with me!" Blizzardstar called from up on the Sunning Ledge where he was lying down with a large bird at his paws. His icy blue gaze managing to spot the gray she-cat whom he had brought to the clan when he was but a apprentice and claimed that he would adopt her himself. Despite his mother's minor objection over the arrangement. The large tom's voice was cheerful and perhaps he felt a bit hopeful and eager.
Admittedly, he probably hadn't been the best father figure and he bit off more than he could chew really. It was more he acted like a neglectful older brother that had found other things to play with instead of some kit. He didn't mean it that way but now he felt quite a bit bad over his actions. Yet he wasn't sure how to quite reconnect with his supposed adopted daughter. Unlike many, she doesn't seem to speak much. Whenever they interact, she politely interacts the norms, going on patrols and such or help working with others but not much else. So maybe little royal family lunch might help.
Graycloud on the other paw had been padding into camp before hearing the King call to her. Looking up at him, the large fluffy she-cat blinked her green eyes slowly. Her expression remaining the everlasting impassive, calm and void of much emotion. On the inside however, she felt a little nervous at the offer. It had been sometime since she sat down with Blizzardstar. Still, even if he was the cat that had decided to adopt her, he was still Royalty, the king in fact now. Graycloud, was not royal. And she knew that.
Still, she wasn't about to refuse him, so she picked up a large blackbird and climbed up the rocks to reach Sunning Ledge. Once there, she took a seat beside him and gave a soft polite bow before crouching.
Blizzardstar rolled his eyes at the formality and swatted his tail onto the gray and white she-cat's head. "Heeey relax! This is some family bonding time! So how has your day gone so far? Sun's already starting to go down. Find anything interesting?" he mewed, offering conversation.
Graycloud blinked softly at him, hardly reacting to the tail wap to the face. Deep green eyes gazing at the King of the Mountain for a long moment. In which made the large black and silver tom shuffle his paws. After surpressing some nerves and coming up with words to say, Graycloud finally spoke.
"....It has been well, thank you. Warm." Graycloud answered in a clear, but soft voice, her voice a bit gruff and deep sounding. If she actually raised her voice, it would probably sound more masculine.
"Awe well that's good." Blizzardstar purred before taking a bite of his prey. Once he did, Graycloud then took a bite, chewing slowly before swallowing, while the King more or less chewed just a little before swallowing his portion. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

Rainpool padded through the camp entrance, her head held high as her jaw hung open to allow the large raven to fit nicely between her fangs. Was it a bad omen to catch the clever beast? She was unsure so sent a prayer to the Creators for the catch, asking them to protect her as much as she thanked them for the meal. Her killing this raven made her feel quite powerful and sure in her abilities. The bird was not smart enough to run from the beast of a cat, sealing its fate by the poor decision.
The silver and white she-cat's ear flicked as she heard her brother call to Graycloud, the odd adopted warrior Blizzardstar had somehow convinced their mother to take in. She supposed it would be against the warrior code to have let the kit die, but did they have to adopt her into the clan? At least give her different parents, for the Creators' sake. Graycloud hadn't an ounce of royal blood in her lineage, so how could Blizzardstar ever call her his daughter? He would be better off finding someone to have real heirs with.
With the raven still clenched in her jaws, she bunched her powerful hind quarters and bounded up the rocky ledge until she was looming over the two sharing words and a feast. Her golden eyes narrowed at Graycloud as she stepped pointedly over the adopted cat so she could wedge her way between the grey she-cat and her brother. This was a silent way to reject what she was seeing, but without using words it would be hard to prove that that was her intention.
"Is that awkward conversation I hear?" Rainpool mewed coolly as she bent her head to begin plucking the feathers one by one off of the raven.

Ears perking a little as his sister joined them, Blizzardstar raised his head as Rainpool took the spot between the two cats, but otherwise gave a goodhearted purr. "Awe dear sister! It's good to see you this lovely day!" the large black and silver tom mewed, giving a soft chuckle at her comment. "Ah well, I suppose so. Graycloud dear is just a bit of a shy and quiet type is all. And you know me, I am quite the loud one." the large tom gave a jolly laugh, playfully bumping his shoulder against Rainpool's shoulder before taking a bite.
Graycloud raised her head, her deep green eyes watching Rainpool approach them and take a place in between the two. Her impassive expression unmoving as she watched the two older cats speak, to one another. It always seemed like Rainpool didn't quite like the large gray and white she-cat. Could be because she wasn't clan born. Could be because Blizzardstar took her in as his daughter and part of the royal family. Although, the two of them hardly have spoken to one another.
Slowly, Graycloud dipped her head in greeting. "Hello Rainpool." She greeted politely before gently taking another bite of her prey. Continuing to silently listen as Blizzardstar gleefully chattered.
"So what is my dear sister up to this fine day? Having any fun? Or do you have something raining on your day?" Blizzardstar purred in a amusement, grinning at the joke.

Blizzardstar's chipper greeting had never failed to make Rainpool shake her head to herself. He was always so cheery, so optimistic... so friendly. It had always been a point of confusion for the large silver-white cat. Out of her family, she felt like the odd one out. The royal family had been known to be friendly, accepting, charismatic, and these were simply things that Rainpool had been told she is not. But in her eyes, it was good to hold yourself high and differentiate between everyday Summitclanners and the Royal Family of Summitclan. The Creators would have never chosen them to lead if they did not believe the royal family was above the others. Was that arrogance or the truth?
"Graycloud" The reply was curt and accompanied by a nod from Rainpool. She even went so far as the incline her head towards her brother's semi-child to give her more of an acknowledgment than she normally would have.
"Oh, brother," She drawled, voice dripping with sarcasm. "always so funny with your jokes. I could hardly imagine a day passing where my ears are never graced with your wit and humour." Rainpool gave pause before she swished her impossibly bushy tail at the king. Her eyes focused on him in an act of politeness. "If you must know, I have been busy hunting. The birds are out and mice plentiful. It would serve the clan good if we could send out more hunting patrols. May as well utilize green-leaf while it's here, shall we not?"

Blizzardstar grinned a little as his sister managed a greeting to Graycloud. Quite happy that Rainpool managed that at least. If they just managed to properly socialize, he was sure they'd get along just great. However, both of them were not quite the most social cats. By the Creators, he loved them both, but he wished they could a little less of stiffs. Laughing as his sister's bushy tail wacked against him, he stuck out his tongue playfully.
"That is me yessiry! I like to pool together all my best jokes to brighten up someone's cloudy day." he grinned. Ears twitching a little as Rainpool mentioned prey, the King's cheerful expression slightly dimmed thoughtfully.
"Awe that's right, it seemed news hasn't got to you quite yet. I've been meaning to talk to you about it." Blizzardstar mewed as his massive claws gingerly scraped against the stone before casually flashing a grin.
"Graycloud, would you please inform dear Rainpool." he grinned, icy blue gaze sparking before nonchalantly taking a few bites from his meal.
Blinking a little at Blizzardstar's words, Graypool raised her head once more and turned her gaze to Rainpool. It was rare for the older she-cat to pay her any mind really. It was a little disheartening at times. Rainpool was quite the regal cat, quite the opposite of Blizzardstar. They were like the Sun and the Moon, so different but always there to balance each other out. Rainpool was also a very pretty she-cat. The pure vision of regal royalty. Beautiful like Creator Moon.
Snapping out of her thoughts, the massive gray and white she-cat's expression remained impassive, despite the slight tingling of nerves coursing through her body as she recollected her thoughts to properly carry out her adoptive father's request.
".... A unknown predator has been found stealing prey. A few hunters spotted blood splatters. His Majesty Blizzardstar--" Graycloud started before being cut off by Blizzardstar.
"Just Blizzardstar. Or Blizzy. Or Daddykins." The massive tom mewed with a chuckle.
Pausing for a but a moment to allow him to speak, Graycloud continued with a clear voice. "He and Owlgaze found a sighting of blood, feathers of a hawk, and large claw marks bigger than any badger or fox. It has been eating most of the prey in the territory. He was recommending in sending Ravenwhisper and Stonepaw to scout in order to find its hideout and see what we are up against." Graycloud finished, her large forepaws gingerly shuffling, though managed to keep eye contact.
As she finished, Blizzardstar took a breath and licked his lips. "Not quite everyone knows as of yet, don't want to cause panic. Although, I did speak with the Lakeclan leader over the matter to see if it travled into their territory. And perhaps discuss a proposition." Blizzardstar mewed with a soft innocent hum. Having a feeling that his sister wouldn't quite agree with his more, hasty decision making.
Mal - That's alright! Glad you replied! And I think she'd basically both. Though namely Princess since if Blizzard dies without a heir, she's next in line. If he does, then I'd say she be a Duchess. But I won't be mad if you want to refer her either way or both. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0
